Public Swimming Pools

All public swimming pools, spas, wading, training, and special purpose & therapy pools must comply with applicable laws and rules prior to operation including the federal Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act.  New construction requires plan review approval and inspections. 

All public pool facilities are required to renew their operation permit each season.  Seasonal pools may operate April 1 through October 31.  Year-round pools must renew their operation permit prior to the expiration date.
