Hands Only CPR
DCoDPH offers Hands Only CPR Training where participants learn basic CPR skills of compression-based resuscitation with a manikin. Basic CPR skills can save a life. Our staff members can come on site of your choice with equipment to teach this brief class. Please note: this does not qualify as a certification for employment purposes. This class is offered free of charge.
Audience: Adults and children age 14 and above; faith-based organizations, community, civic and Greek organizations

CPR for Certification and Licensure
We offer Heartsaver CPR Training (for those without a license such as nurses etc.) for organized community groups smaller than 12 participants. There is a charge provided by the American Heart Association of $20/person which goes directly to the American Heart Association.

Presentations & Workshops
Request us to come to your site for a 30 - 60 minute presentation on just about any heart health related topic, including heart disease, heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.

High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) Management
A five-session weekly workshop to learn more about high blood pressure and how to manage it effectively. Each session builds upon one another and provides skills to improve your blood pressure and resources for ongoing support beyond the workshop. Workshops are offered in-person and virtually and can be hosted by faith and community organizations.
Audience: Adults diagnosed with pre-hypertension, hypertension, those at risk for hypertension

High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) Support Group
An interactive support group that meets monthly virtually on the third Thursday of the month from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
Cost: Free
Audience: Adults with pre-hypertension, hypertension and those at risk for the condition.
