Our Programs & Services

We provide educational programs to students in Durham County inclulding students from pre-school to 12th grade (public and private), homeschoolers, and scout groups.

Bionomic Education Training Center (BETC)

BETC provides funding, work experience, STEM lessons, and green infrastructure training for DPS middle and high school students.

Classroom Presentations

We provide free environmental education programs for students in grades pre-k – 12th grade.

Conservation Contests

Students in grades K - 12 are encouraged to participate in our annual Conservation Creativity Contests and Bookmark Contest.

Environmental Field Days

A chance for Durham students and teachers to put down the books, get out of the classroom, and learn firsthand about our natural world.

Envirothon

A hands-on environmental science and natural resources competition for middle school and high school students.

Learning Library

Our library of environmental education materials. Free to use for Durham County educators.

Resource Conservation Workshop

The RCW is a weeklong summer camp for high school students interested in conservation and natural resources.

The Book Planter

K-5 Educators can enter our monthly giveaway to receive a free ag-related book courtesy of Durham Farm Bureau.
