Environmental Field Days

3rd Grade Environmental Field Days
The 3rd Grade Environmental Education Field Day is a chance for Durham students and teachers to put down the books, get out of the classroom, and learn firsthand about our natural world directly from scientists and conservationists, all while having fun!
The field days consist of 3-4 stations led by different resource professionals. During a two hour block, students rotate between stations to learn about different environmental topics. Each station includes a lesson and hands-on activity or game.
Topics include:
- Soil
- Water
- Forestry
- Wildlife
- Environmental issues
Field days will be held at the school at which they're scheduled.
