What We Do
Policy Development and Consultation
The Policy Development and Consultation Team is comprised of three specialized divisions that collectively support the County’s efforts to foster a consistent, equitable, and legally compliant work environment. Through cross-functional collaboration, this team partners with departments to ensure alignment with organizational values, legal requirements, and best practices.
Policy Development Division
- This division leads the creation, review, and interpretation of human resources policies and procedures. It ensures policies are current, legally compliant, and responsive to organizational needs. The team provides guidance on policy application, supports training and education efforts, and promotes consistency in HR practices across departments.
Employee Relations Division
- This division serves as a trusted advisor to departments on workplace issues, employee conduct, and performance management. It manages workplace investigations, facilitates conflict resolution, and provides strategic consultation to promote positive working relationships and a healthy organizational culture.
ADA and EEO Compliance Division
- This division oversees compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations, and related employment laws. It manages grievances, requests for reasonable accommodations, monitors equal opportunity practices, and supports initiatives that promote a diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplace.
Together, these three divisions ensure that the County’s HR policies and practices are not only compliant and equitable but also reflective of the County’s commitment to operational excellence and workforce well-being.
