Recovery Court

About the Program

Recovery Court (RC) is a court and probation supervised community based alternative to incarceration for persons with substance use disorder (both drugs and alcohol) and related crime. RC is a voluntary judicially supervised treatment opportunity that offers non-traditional and individualized treatment for non-violent offenders charged with a felony or misdemeanor offenses.

Program Structure:

Participants enroll in Recovery Court for a minmum of 12 months. The program consists of five graduated stages, durng which individuals receive substance use treatment and case management, partivipate in Court sessions, amd submit to random drug screenings. Program phases include:

  • Phase I - Orientation
  • Phase II - Change
  • Phase III - Self-Sufficiency
  • Phase IV - Advanced
  • Phase V - Aftercare

Services:

To support participants throughout the program and help them sustain their recovery after graduation, Recovery Court provides the following services:

  • Substance use disorder treatment
  • Cognitive Behavioral Intervention
  • Case Management
  • Employment assistance
  • Education assistance
  • Basic needs assistance (e.g. housing, clothing, food and transporation)
  • Referrals to other community providers
