About Reentry Services

The Justice Services Department Reentry Services connects Durham residents who are justice involved to needed services and resources, via Durham Local Reentry Council and by Justice Services Department staff.  The Justice Services Department also provides Cognitive Behavioral Intervention therapy to persons referred by the NC Department of Adult Corrections and NC Courts.

The Durham County Local Reentry Council (LRC) is a network of individuals, community organizations, and government agencies working in collaboration to provide services and supports for justice-involved individuals. Cognitive Behavioral Intervention

Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (CBI) teaches participants how to create positive change in their lives by developing more effective ways of thinking. CBI is provided to persons on probation, post-release, and per court order, deferred prosecution or other diversion agreements.
