Fire Departments

Introduction

Durham County is comprised of four Fire Departments who provide Fire Suppression, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Rescue response to businesses, visitors, and residents of Durham: Bahama, Lebanon, and Redwood Volunteer Fire Departments and the City of Durham Fire Department. These services are available 24/7, 365 days a year. In addition, some sections of the County are covered by three other fire districts whose primary response area is outside of Durham County: Eno Volunteer Fire Department, Moriah Volunteer Fire Department, and New Hope Volunteer Fire Department.
