Mission Statement

The mission of the Office of Emergency Services (OES) is to ensure the safety and well-being of Durham County. We fulfill our mission by providing outstanding customer service, fiscal responsibility and accountability, emergency medical services throughout the county, performing fire code inspections and code enforcement, building plan review, issuing permits and conducting fire investigations and serving as the emergency management agency for the city and county.
