🌱 New Program: EBERP

Durham, Orange, and Granville counties are joining forces with incredible partners to launch the NC Energy Burden & Emissions Reduction Program (EBERP)! The three-county team has been awarded $1.5M in funding, 1 of only 12 entities to be selected for the nationwide grant by the Department of Energy (DOE).

🏡 What’s EBERP all about?

The Program’s priorities are to reduce local energy burden and greenhouse gas emissions through making positive changes in Justice40 communities. We’ll be conducting neighborhood-focused residential energy upgrades to make homes more energy-efficient. Plus, we’ll be offering neighborhood education and workforce training to create new opportunities and skills!

🌎 What’s our goal?

To reduce energy burdens on families, strengthen organizational capacity, and empower our communities with clean energy technical skills.

⭐ Who makes up the EBERP Team?

Our Team Members include Durham County, Orange County, and Granville County.

We are also proud to collaborate with the following Project Partners: NC Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA), NC Clean Energy Fund (NCCEF), Central Pines Regional Council (CPRC), Enpira, Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC), Marian Cheek Jackson Center (MCJC), and Shipshape
