Coordination with Community Agencies
The Youth Home Director coordinates planning efforts with other community agencies to assure maximum use of available resources for detained youth.
The Youth Home works with community agencies such as: the Court System, Office of Juvenile Justice, Department of Social Services, Project Build, DCo Public Health Education & Testing, DCo OASIS (Older Adult & Shut-In Service), Non-Profit Agencies, Alliance Behavioral Healthcare

Counseling
The Youth Home offers counseling services that include mental health counseling and crisis intervention. When needed, counseling services are available to juveniles through contractual agreement with community agencies. Group counseling periods are scheduled as needed.
Counselors shall be available to talk with juveniles on a continuous basis. A juvenile's participation in individual counseling is voluntary. Crisis intervention counseling shall be provided in emergency situations as needed.
Religious Programming
Residents shall have the opportunity to participate voluntarily in an inter-denominational religious program. Community representatives and religious volunteers of all faiths shall be encouraged to participate in religious activities at the Youth Home.
