What We Do

The purpose of juvenile detention is for the protection of the juvenile and the community. Its mission is to provide a safe, secure and positive environment for juveniles and staff.

The basic emphasis is on positive service, programs and care for a juvenile pending a court disposition. When used appropriately, detention care is an important step in the process of improving a juvenile’s behavior.
