The Durham County Transportation Department has applied for multiple grant funding opportunities in order to access monetary resources that will allow us to undertake additional projects to improve the transportation system within the County. Durham Rail Crossing

Durham County, in partnership with the City of Durham, the Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization, GoTriangle, and the North Carolina Department of Transportation, submitted an application for, and was awarded a grant through the Federal Railroad Administration Railroad Crossing Elimination program.
