General information

The Durham County Register of Deeds office can record real estate documents via electronic submission. This process is referred to as Electronic Recording or E-Recording.

E-Recording is quick, efficient, and eliminates the cost associated with travel to and from the Register of Deeds office. When submitted electronically, the document will be processed and returned to the submitter the same business day (if received by 4:45 pm).
