Extension Master Food volunteers

The Extension Master Food Volunteer (EMFV) program was designed for people who want to make a difference in their community through food-related activities. Whether you are an experienced home cook, a nutrition enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys the connection made while sharing meals, the EMFV program offers a unique way to share your skills and passion.

Extension Master Gardener volunteers

Extension Master Gardener volunteers are trained to help connect North Carolinians with the vast reservoir of horticultural knowledge and research developed at North Carolina A&T University and NC State University. Through a variety of outreach programs, the Master Gardener volunteers of Durham County educate and inspire all gardeners (the curious, beginners, and the more experienced) with science-based information, presentations, and demonstrations.

Extension Master Naturalist volunteers

Our program prepares volunteers to lead stewardship, education outreach, and citizen science projects with leading environmental organizations in the Triangle.

Kids Voting

Volunteers help extend Kids Voting’s small staff extend its reach and impact to all Durham youth. Come be part of helping to create Durham’s next great civic generation.

Parent & Family Advocacy & Support Training

Serve on a short-term advisory board, become a PFAST or L-PFAST facilitator, volunteer with our administrative staff, sponsor a class, or donate a meal for one of our events.
