The show is available to watch on the DCo YouTube channel (subscribe here); as well as on the Durham County Government website and the Durham Television Network.
Lee was elected to serve as a County Commissioner in 2024 and is currently serving in his first term. He was previously Vice Chair. He serves on several local and regional Boards and Committees, including the Central Pines Regional Council Board of Delegates, Durham Technical Community College Board of Trustees and GoTriangle Board of Trustees, among others. On the show, Lee discusses his priorities for the year and the connection between his new role and his prior service as Vice Chair and Chair of the Durham Public Schools Board of Education. He also shares how he balances his successful career in the software industry, driving a bus for Durham Public Schools and leading the County Commissioners.
White is a first-time guest and joined the County after serving in the athletics departments at several higher education institutions, including Duke University, Longwood University and University of Bridgeport. On the show, we learn how his combined experience, talent and passion for managing athletics operations and facilities led him to his new role at Durham County Memorial Stadium. The conversation with White also reveals how he plans to work with the Stadium Authority Board, County Commissioners, Durham County, community partners, Durham residents and visitors to elevate the Stadium and its assets.
