Youth Initiatives

The Durham City-County Strategic Youth Initiative aims to create new opportunities for youth engagement in local government, and works with youth and other partners to find ways that local government programs and systems can better support young people ages 13-24 years. The initiative is based in the City of Durham Office on Youth.

The Office on Youth celebrates and nurtures young people in Durham. Their work helps advance the priorities of the City-County “strategic youth initiative," launched in December 2017 and renewed in 2022.
