Community Engagement & Outreach

We coordinate community engagement and outreach efforts across Durham County to help residents connect with County services, programs, and decision-making processes. Through community meetings, events, partnerships, and public information efforts, we ensure residents have opportunities to share input, stay informed, and participate in County initiatives. By working with departments, community organizations, and public partners, we help strengthen communication, build community relationships, and ensure County programs reflect community needs and priorities.

Organizational Partnership and Support

We build and maintain partnerships with nonprofit and community organizations to strengthen collaboration and expand community impact. We connect organizations with County departments, coordinate employee volunteer opportunities, and support programs that align community resources with County priorities. Through strong partnerships, we help improve service delivery, increase resource sharing, and support a culture of service across Durham County.

We tell the Durham story by highlighting community voices, partnerships, and County initiatives through print, digital media, and data storytelling. We share progress, outcomes, and community impact to promote transparency, build public trust, and show the value of community engagement across Durham County.
