About Durham County Parking
Durham County Parking oversees the management of government-operated parking facilities, including the DCo Justice Center Garage, Queen Street Garage, and the Main Street Garage (500 Block). We are committed to delivering efficient, reliable, and user-friendly parking solutions for employees, residents, and visitors.
Our mission is to ensure accessible, safe, and well-maintained parking options that support the County’s growing infrastructure. We offer affordable monthly permits, electric vehicle (EV) charging access, and ADA-compliant facilities, all while prioritizing transparency, exceptional customer service, and sustainability.
Parking Rate(s):
Durham County parking garages offer affordable hourly and daily rates for public use.
- Hourly Rate: $2.00 per hour
- Maximum Daily Rate: $10.00 per day (at applicable locations)
- Special Event Rate: $5 per vehicle
Payment is accepted via cash, credit/debit card at designated kiosks.
Special Event Parking Rates
Durham County offers a flat $5 special event rate per vehicle at select parking garages during approved community events. This affordable rate provides convenient access to downtown activities while supporting smooth traffic flow and public safety.
Monthly Permit Parking
Durham County offers convenient monthly parking permits for employees and regular visitors. Permits are managed through The Car Park LLC, our official parking operations and management partner are valid at the DCo Justice Center Garage and Main Street Parking Garage.
Permits are available at two monthly rates:
- $25/month for eligible in-state government employees
- $65/month for general public parkers
