Updated COVID-19 vaccines now available at the Durham County Department of Public Health

Durham, NC - The Durham County Department of Public Health (DCoDPH) is now offering appointments for updated Moderna COVID-19 vaccines (2025-2026 formula) for all people age six months and older. Due to limited vaccine supply, vaccinations are available by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling 919-560-7608. Read below for important information regarding COVID-19 vaccination at DCoDPH.

 

Who is eligible to be vaccinated? 
All people age six months and older may be vaccinated at DCoDPH. 

 

Which vaccine brands are available? 
We are offering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.

 

How much do vaccines cost? 
Vaccines are covered by Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance for children and adults, and by the Vaccines for Children program for children who are uninsured. Administration fees may apply. Please bring your insurance card with you to your appointment if you are insured.

Adults who are uninsured must cover the cost of their vaccination. Without insurance, COVID-19 vaccination at DCoDPH currently costs approximately $250-$300.

 

Who should be vaccinated? 
COVID-19 vaccines offer protection against serious illness and death from COVID-19 for all people age 6 months and older, with or without underlying medical conditions. Vaccination is recommended regardless of previous doses or infections.
