Updated COVID-19 Boosters Available at Durham County Department of Public Health Beginning September 7

The Durham County Department of Public Health (DCoDPH) will offer bivalent COVID-19 booster vaccines (updated boosters) beginning Wednesday, September 7. These vaccinations will be available by walk-in only in the DCoDPH COVID-19 vaccination clinic at 414 E. Main St., Durham, NC 27701 during regular clinic hours Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 9:00AM-4:00PM, and Tuesdays, 9:00AM-5:30PM, closed daily 11:30PM-1:00PM. All COVID-19 vaccinations are free to all people–no insurance, documentation, or identification needed.
The following individuals are available for updated COVID-19 boosters:
Individuals 18 years of age or older are eligible for an updated Moderna booster dose if it has been at least two months since they have completed their primary vaccination series of any brand or have received the most recent booster dose with any authorized or approved monovalent COVID-19 vaccine.
Individuals 12 years of age or older are eligible for an updated Pfizer booster dose if it has been at least two months since they have completed their primary vaccination series of any brand or have received the most recent booster dose with any authorized or approved monovalent COVID-19 vaccine.
Vaccinations at the DCoDPH COVID-19 vaccination clinic are available only by walk-in at this time. Individuals seeking booster vaccination should bring their vaccination card listing the dates of all previous COVID-19 vaccinations.
With the authorization of updated booster vaccinations, previous (monovalent) boosters are no longer authorized and are not available in the DCoDPH vaccination clinic.
In addition to updated booster vaccinations, DCoDPH also continues to provide all other authorized brands and doses of COVID-19 vaccines for eligible individuals of all ages.
