“In Touch with Durham County” Looks Back at 2023

Durham, N.C. - The latest edition of the "In Touch with Durham County" show from the Durham County Public Information Office continues to bring residents of our community important information on our programs and services with the January 2024 show.

On this month's episode, our host Durham County Chief Communications Officer Deborah Craig-Ray, takes a stroll down memory lane by looking at Durham County Government's people, programming, events, successes, and transitions that made headlines in 2023.

In segment two, we look back at some of the new hires in leadership and the County's Senior Executive Leadership Team. We also talk about the great work being done with the County's $62 million of American Rescue Plan Act funding from the federal government. Craig-Ray also discusses how the City of Durham and Durham County have partnered to help address affordable housing. We also discuss the newly adopted Durham Comprehensive Plan, a new Durham County Transit Plan, and grants received for railroads, recycling, and energy efficiency.
