Durham, N.C. - Durham County Register of Deeds Office will delay the opening of its Vital Records Office on Thursday, March 28, 2024, for professional development training for its staff. The Vital Records Office will be closed to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the training. The office will re-open to the public and resume normal operations at 12:00 p.m.

Walk-in services and appointments to obtain or request vital records will not be available during the closure. Customers will still be able to access the vital record services that are available online.
