County to Close Non-Essential Offices at 1 p.m. Due to Inclement Weather

DURHAM, N.C. - In anticipation of winter weather conditions for Central North Carolina, Durham County Government will close its non-essential operations and offices at 1 p.m. on February 19, 2025. This early closure allows employees and customers to get home safely as snow and ice accumulation is forecasted. Potential power outages and hazardous road conditions have been noted in association with the approaching Winter Storm.
Residents are encouraged to monitor, stay informed, and shelter in place during severe weather conditions.
Durham County Government will provide updates regarding the impact of winter weather conditions on services via the County website, social media, and media outlets. All residents are encouraged to sign up for emergency alerts and community notifications from Durham City-County Emergency Management's Alert Durham at www.alertdurham.com.
