County Offices to Open on Three-Hour Delay on Jan. 22

Durham, N.C. - Durham County Government will delay opening operations by three hours on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, due to effects of winter weather on some of the Triangle's roadways. The delayed opening will provide reduced hazardous road conditions for our employees and residents using our services. County operations will begin at 11:30 a.m.

The Durham County Department of Social Services will open at 10:30 a.m.

All Durham County Library locations will open at 12 p.m. Visit DurhamCountyLibrary.org for full library schedule details. Library locations remain warming centers for residents during normal business hours.

Due to inclement weather, the Durham County Courts will operate under the following schedule:

Sheriff's Offices Civil side - will open at 10:30 am

Clerk of Superior Court - All Clerks offices will open at 10:00 am

Civil and Criminal Superior Court - will open at 10:00 am

Small Claims/Criminal District/Civil District Court - will open at 11:00 am

Use good judgement when driving on roadways that may have patches of ice. All employees should contact their supervisor if you have any questions regarding the delayed schedule.
