2025 Municipal General Election Day Voting Tips

Durham, NC – The Durham County Board of Elections is preparing for the 2025 Municipal General Election Day, scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025. This election is being administered for the City of Durham, Town of Chapel Hill, Town of Cary, and the Town of Morrisville.
Residents of these municipalities within the boundaries of Durham County are eligible to participate. To determine if you are eligible, click here to check your registration record.
On Election Day, 58 of the county’s 59 polling locations will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Voters in line by 7:30 p.m. will be permitted to vote.
Things to know before you go:

Eligible voters must vote at their assigned Election Day polling place. To find your Election Day polling place, you can use the North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBE) Polling Place Lookup Tool.

Precinct 26 is not an active polling place during municipal elections, as it is not within the boundaries of a Durham County municipality.
