Durham, N.C. - On June 24, 2025, the State Board of Elections unanimously appointed Dawn Baxton (D), James Weaver (R), Pamela Oxendine (D), and Natalie Beauchaine (R) as members of the Durham County Board of Elections for the 2025-2027 term. State Auditor Dave Boliek selected David Boone (R) to serve as Chair of the Durham County Board of Elections for the 2025-2027 term.

On his appointment Chairman Boone stated, "I am honored to serve the Durham community in this new capacity for the 2025-2027 term. I look forward to working with my colleagues to facilitate honest, fair, and accurate election administration in Durham County." 

The newly appointed Board of Elections will meet on July 22, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. to be sworn-in and conduct other business matters. The meeting will occur at the Durham County Board of Elections office, located at 3825 S. Roxboro Street, Suite 101, Durham, NC 27713.
