Apply for Innovate Durham Program

Durham County Economic Development is proud to announce the return of the Innovate Durham program for a 2025-2026 cohort, now enhanced by a new partnership with  Forward Cities’ E3 Durham program. Applications will be accepted until August 11, 2025.

Innovate Durham connects local entrepreneurs and small businesses with County departments to pilot innovative projects and improve government operations. Participants can showcase emerging technologies, collaborate directly with the government, and gain exposure to new clients. This year’s cohort will prioritize tech-enabled and human-centered solutions. Last year’s program participants included Digital Brilliance Hour, Laughing Monitos, MyMatr, and SKLLD. The program culminates with “Demo Day,” a public event that showcases the results of the small business and department partnerships.

Start-ups and small businesses can apply now by visiting the link here or scanning one of our flyers’ QR codes. The application process is fast and free of charge. Applicants must live or do business in Durham County and join E3 Durham as a member (also free).
