What We Do
This Animal Welfare Advisory Committee was established by the Board of Cou The Audit Services Oversight Committee was established by the Board of County Commissioners in 2005 to serve in an advisory capacity to the County Manager regarding functions of the Internal Audit Department. The committee maintains the following functions and responsibilities:
- To provide oversight responsibilities of the audit function
- To serve in an advisory capacity to the County Manager
- To facilitate communications among the Board of County Commissioners, the County Manager
- To ensure internal controls are in place and implemented
- To ensure County management implements report recommendations
- To review annual audit plan and make recommendation to County Commissioners for approval
- To review audit budget and make recommendation to Board of County Commissioners for approval
- To work in concert with the Finance Director and the County Manager in making recommendations for the selection of the external auditor
- To review and approve the County’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, management letter and other required communications

County Commissioners and the County Manager to provide recommendations with regard to animal control matters. The committee is responsible for reporting activities, findings and recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners annually.
