"Soil and Water....Yours For Life"

Show off your creativity by participating in the 2020-2021 Durham Soil & Water Conservation District’s Conservation Creativity Contests!

Theme: We all live in a Watershed

Contests: This contest, ‘Soil and Water...Yours for Life’ can be incorporated &/or enhance NC DPI Standard Course of Study, Essential Standards for Science for each grade level and are available upon request.

· Poster: 3rd-6th grade   

. Poster: 3rd-6th grade Spanish Version 

· Essay: 6th grade

· Public Speaking: 7th & 8th grade

· Computer Designed Slide Show: 6th grade

· Graphic Design Poster Contest: 9th grade

There will be a 1st and 2nd place award given for each category/grade level in Durham Co.:

· 1st place - $50 and entered in regional competition (Educators who have the 1st place winning student will receive $30 to use towards school supplies)

· 2nd place - $25

Open to all public schools, private school, homeschool students and student clubs in Durham County

DEADLINE: All contest entries are due to the Durham SWCD office by 5 pm - February 8, 2021
