2023- Durham County received the '2023 Civic Excellence in Innovation Award' from NCACC. The program is administrated by the Soil and Water Conservation Department.
2023- Supervisor David Harris received the 'Supervisor of the Year' award from NCASWCD.
2023- Tyler D'Angelo from Carrington MS received the Secondary (7th-12th) 'Educator of the Year' award from the NCASWCD.
