The Termination of Declaration of a State of Emergency will go into effect on Monday, March 7, 2022. Read the termination order here

 

 This termination of declaration follows the activation of and subsequent updates to the Durham County Stay at Home Order, evolving from the Durham Stay-At-Home Order, implemented in March 2020. The most recent update to the declaration came in August 2021.

 

At the present time, the number of persons vaccinated in Durham and across the State of North Carolina has significantly increased, and the rate of positive cases and hospitalizations have decreased. Durham County officials will continue to monitor the state of COVID-19 and its impact on the community.
