About Us
The Durham County Utilities Development Review team is responsible for reviewing and inspecting all new development within the Durham County Sewer Basin. Private development review consists of reviewing zoning, site plans, preliminary and final plats, construction drawings, as well as sewer video and as-builts to ensure compliance with Durham County Standards. For commercial, industrial, and research/manufacturing development, the Development Review team coordinates with the Durham County Utilities Compliance group for review of plumbing plans and pretreatment units. In addition to reviewing and inspecting new development, the Development Review Group manages the planning, design, construction, and inspection of all Durham County Utilities’ owned infrastructure within the collection system and at the Triangle Wastewater Treatment Plant. |
