DCo Thrives Film Screening Launch - Exploring the Impact of Guaranteed Income

The community is invited to the kick-off event for Durham County Government's guaranteed income pilot program, DCo Thrives. 

Durham County is taking a bold step towards addressing economic disparities by implementing a guaranteed income pilot program that aims to help Durham families go from surviving to thriving. This program will provide no-strings attached financial support to 125 low-income families and assess the potential positive impacts on the community. 

To celebrate this initiative and engage in a broader conversation about guaranteed income, the County is hosting a film screening of the documentary "It's Basic" on Monday, November 20, at 5 p.m., at the Durham Convention Center, 301 W. Morgan Street. Following the screening, there will be panel discussion on the broader and local impacts of guaranteed income. The event is free of charge and will feature a D.J., as well as free movie, concessions, and giveaways. See the above flyer for details.
