Picnic tables, grills, and waste bins are located at the two large shelters for your comfort. Individual picnic areas can be found around the handicapped accessible, interpretive loop trail, which brings the natural experience of the park to within easy reach of the parking area. The open play meadow, dotted with bluebird houses, provides a place to relax or throw a frisbee, while the playground offers active recreation for the kids. Restroom facilities are located next to the meadow-side picnic shelter.
Over seven miles of hiking trails are available in the park. Hikers are encouraged to carry water, and choose a route that fits their physical abilities. The mountain bike trails are specially designed to prevent erosion and maintain stream and river water quality. Bikers are asked to remain on posted mountain bike trails at all times.
