The listing period is January 1 - January 31 of each year.
All listings are considered timely if received by January 31.
A preprinted listing form is mailed to you if you have listed personal property the previous year. The preprinted form will be received by the end of December or first week in January.

What is included in Business Listing?
All businesses should list all assets used in the conduction of their business. Examples are computers, printers, copiers, furniture & fixtures, machinery & equipment, tools, telephone and their systems, fax machines, alarms, display cabinets, racks, etc.., cleaning supplies, office supplies. This list is illustrative of the type of property that should be listed, but there may be other assets that should be listed. Additional questions may be directed to the Tax Office at 919- 560-0300. What is included in Personal Property Listing?
Individual personal property that would need to be listed would include all manufactured homes, boats and boat motors, jet skis, aircraft, unlicensed vehicles, permanent/multi-year tag vehicles, and International Registration Plan (IRP) vehicles owned by you on January 1st.
