We had a wonderful time celebrating our 19th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Employee Observance Program at First Presbyterian Church today! It was wonderful seeing so many City of Durham, NC Government & Durham County Government employees, along with DCo residents, elected officials, and more for an awesome morning/early afternoon of song, celebration, and wonderful words from our staff members, church representatives, Board Chair Nida Allam, and our keynote speaker Dr. Mark Anthony Neal.

We also had wonderful music from violinist and singer Kimberly Michelle! Thank you to Durham County Emergency Medical Services Capt. Helen Tripp for singing our National Anthem and the Durham County Sheriff's Office Color Guard for the posting and retiring of colors at the beginning and end of our ceremony. What an awesome and inspiring time! Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.!
