RECYCLING ROLL CART EXPANSION APPROVED

On Monday, June 23rd the Durham County Board of County Commissioners approved the County's Budget for the 2014 -2015 Fiscal Year which included the expansion of the County's Roll Cart Recycling Pilot Program for the unincorporated areas of Durham County.  At this time the Durham County Solid Waste Division is working with Waste Industries in finalizing the next steps in the Roll Cart expansion to additional households.  At this time it has not been determined which routes and which households located in the unincorporated areas of Durham will be next to receive a roll cart.  A tentative start date for the next phase of the switchout from the 18 gallon recycling bins to the roll carts is mid to late Fall, 2014 which is dependant on the manufacture and procurement of the additional roll carts.

Durham County provides waste reduction and recycling services for the citizens of Durham County. Click on the links below for information about our programs.

Note: Durham County General Services is currently out of stock of Compost Bins.
